Arnel Dino is proud to call the City of Fullerton home for almost 40 years. He attended local schools and graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Asian Pacific Studies. Arnel is certified in Financial Planning and Management for Nonprofit Organizations and Grant and Proposals Writing from Cal State Fullerton.
At a young age, Arnel was instilled with a high work ethic, family values, and a desire to serve others. At the age of 13, his father passed away, and Arnel’s mother started a family nursing home in Fullerton to help support the family while working her day job as a Dietician in local nursing/healthcare facilities throughout Orange County. For over 30 years, Arnel and his mother’s family nursing home has provided families and seniors with dignified care and a true sense of family belonging.
Arnel’s childhood inspired his desire to serve people. He currently serves as Vice-Chair of the City of Fullerton Planning Commission and previously served as Economic Development Commissioner and the city of Fullerton Infrastructure and Natural Resources Committee, which provided input into and reviewed annually the city’s Capital Improvement Program. Arnel has also served on the City’s Water Rate Subcommittee and chaired the Water Rate Dispute Panel.
In his spare time, Arnel volunteers with numerous organizations including serving as a Board member of both the Boys and Girls Club of Fullerton and Filipino American Chamber of Commerce of Orange County.
